Shepherd's warning
Shepherd's warning
Morning clouds catching the sun. In the UK, the old country saying 'Red light in the evening, shepherds' delight, red light in the morning, shepherds' warning' has some credibility; much of our weather is governed by frontal systems which come [came? - our weather patterns seem less consistent than in the past] from the west, the morning sunlight reflects red light back from the clouds which passed some hours before, and can be followed by poor weather. Red light reflecting from clouds in the west at sunset often indicates that a spell of fine weather will reach us in a few hours' time.
