Founded on the site of an old tannery and wool merchants and subsequently redeveloped as the town's swimming pool. The "Wool House" is a development of apartments on Market Street. Work on the site started in 2020 to preserve the original facade. By 2022, the building had assumed its basic shape, but endless problems and delays mean that the apartments are still not quite ready even as late as January 2005. But things are looking reasonably hopeful for occupation in the coming year.
