LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) Apart from that, this section of Hadrian’s Wall is well preserved LinkExternal link and reaches an elevation of 345 m/1,132 at Winshield Crags, Link 3.2 km/2 miles east of Cawfields Lake. That’s the highest point of the entire wall. LinkExternal link

The Pennine Way runs along this section of Hadrian’s Wall and Cawfields is also notable as a Dark Sky Discovery Site that’s ideal for stargazing within the larger Northumberland International Dark Sky Park. LinkExternal link
