Stained Glass Window at ‘Blackwell’, The Arts and Crafts House
Blackwell has a number of stained glass windows. Link They were designed by M. H. Baillie Scott and made by Simpsons of Kendal (9 miles east of Blackwell), which operated from 1885 to 1950. Link
Baillie Scott didn’t just design the stained glass windows, he designed the entire house, including the interior decorations. Link
Blackwell has been a Grade II listed building since 2001, Link
when Lakeland Arts opened it to the public. Link
