NY7667 : Sycamore gap - Hadrians Wall

taken 4 years ago, 3 km from Henshaw, Northumberland, England

Sycamore gap - Hadrians Wall
Sycamore gap - Hadrians Wall
This image was taken on the eastern bank of the 'gap'.
To visit Hadrian's Wall, to see the topography where the wall was built perched on top of high crags, and down through steep gaps like Sycamore Gap. The logistics and skills of Roman engineering at that time is amazing.
