NZ2464 : Former pub on the Cloth Market

taken 1 year ago, near to Gateshead, England

Former pub on the Cloth Market
Former pub on the Cloth Market
Old building on one of Newcastle's medieval streets. However no complete medieval buildings survive here, only a few sections in the rear of some later ones. The three storey brick building here was once the White Hart Inn of the late 16th century incorporating medieval fabric. It was re-fronted in the late 18th century and shop fronts added in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
