taken 2 months ago, near to Gateshead, England

Northern end of the Groat Market
Northern end of the Groat Market
Old street in Newcastle's city centre. It has medieval origins but the surviving buildings are not as old as that. These buildings are basically 18th century but with much alteration in the 19th and 20th. Some older remnants survive in their rear parts. The shop fronts are all 20th century.
