The Arches, Newcastle University
The Arches, Newcastle University
This building straddles Kings Walk, in the centre of the University complex. The Tudor gate tower here was built in 1911, designed by W H Knowles. It is attached to the King Edward VII School of Art, now the School of Fine Art. There is a statue of the king in a niche between the arches.
