North side of this road which runs through the university site. Buildings here from several periods. On the right, the Tudor gatehouse to The Arches from 1911. In the centre, the SW range of the Quadrangle, from 1890-94 with the Jubilee Tower, by R J Johnson. On the left, the Benson Building of 1949 and 1959, with the banded chimney of the boiler house of 1925 by Cackett & Burns Dick.
