Lansdowne House, 90 Newgate Street, Morpeth
Described in Morpeth Town Council's 'Historic Environment Assessment' as, "a wonderfully idiosyncratic, classically-inspired door surround with semi-elliptical fanlight. The door is a later insert into an early building, however, and the segmented brick lintel to the original doorway can be seen behind the existing. Similarly, a window lintel can be seen above the arched carriage entry, also a later insertion". This house, which is Grade II Listed, was built in the early 18th century in English Garden Wall Bond brick with a Welsh slate roof.
