The Old Registry, Newgate Street, Morpeth
This property was once the Morpeth Grammar School for Girls and before that the house of Joseph Crawhall Senior and the birthplace of Joseph Crawhall Junior, the engraver. This substantial neo-Tudor building, which is one of two sections, was built in or about 1840, all in stone, with the second brick section being built slightly later in the mid 18th century. The building, which is Grade II Listed, has now been transformed into a number of luxury apartments.
