North side of High Bridge, Newcastle
High Bridge is one of the original medieval streets of Newcastle, although the present buildings are more recent. Motel One in the centre here was originally built in the late 19th century, 1884-86, as commercial properties. It was used as wharehousing and clothing manufacture and newspaper offices. Converted to a hotel in the 2010's.
