5 Bridge End, The Peth, West Thirston
This two-storey terraced house, which is part of a long row of 18th and early 19th century houses, has a dedicatory tablet over the front door with lettering incised in plain capitals stating, "Nurses Home In Memory of the Unreturned Brave 1914-1918". In April 1923 the house was handed over to Felton & District Nursing Association by a Mrs. Bainbridge to be used as the District Nurse's Home. The tablet was the work of stone carver John Burn Junior of Felton. The house is now a private dwelling.
