Hall Ings was formerly a very busy 4 lane dual-carriageway running from Leeds Road to the Jacobs Well roundabout at Manchester Road. Now it is a 2 lane not busy dual-carriageway, basically just giving access to The Broadway Shopping Centre car park from Leeds Road. There is a turning area just past the car park entrance. From there to Nelson Street it is pedestrianised, also with the cycleway. From there to Jacobs Well, which is no longer a roundabout, it is pedestrianised, with the cycleway, on one side. The other side is a single carriageway road giving buses access to and from the Interchange via Nelson Street.
