Winding House
Winding House
Winding house situated at the top of Sheeps Pasture incline, on the High Peak Trail. When it was working, it would haul trucks up from High Peak Junction over mile away on a 1 in 8 steep incline, by means of a continuous looped cable. The engine was steam powered.
