The free event on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 May 2025 was based in Whitehaven, the historic Georgian town where the first bus entered public service in March 1972. This year's theme was ’The National in Leyland National’ looking back 50 years to the early days of the National Bus Company (NBC). This this year's event was subtitled 'National-isation'.
The event, organised by Workington Transport Heritage Trust Linkincluded a display of Leyland Nationals and other Workington built vehicles at Whitehaven's harbour front together with an exhibition at the Portal annex of the Beacon Museum. A free park-and-ride service operated from Lakes College at Lillyhall Business Park. Exhibitors and their vehicles together with volunteers and selected members of the public enjoyed a scenic journey culminating in a fish and chip supper. At the end of the event on Sunday afternoon, vehicles converged on the former Leyland National factory for a photocall.
The weather on both days was exceptional with bright sunshine, pleasant temperatures and a light breeze.
