On a visit by London Topographical Society, Hardwick's original plans for the 1835 building were laid out, we then visited the main rooms shown on the 1st floor plan.
Goldsmiths' Hall

The Worshipful Society of Goldsmiths has had a hall here since 1339; the present hall designed by Philip Hardwick opened in 1835. The Society trains jewellers and silversmiths. It carries out hallmarking and assay on all precious metals. "Hall" in the word hallmark refers to Goldsmiths' Hall.
