The Outer Spit Buoy is a well-known navigational buoy located at the eastern approach to Portsmouth Harbour, in the eastern Solent. It It marks the outer limit of the Spit Sand shoal and indicates the eastern side of the main dredged channel used by naval ships, ferries, and commercial traffic entering Portsmouth.
