Cordons Old Rectory Plaque in Car Park
This metal plaque is located on a lamp post in the car park in Church Lane. It is one of several plaques marking the Celfunde Inheritance Heritage Walk around Chalfont St Peter and has the following wording:
Cordons, the old rectory. Demolished to make way for
the car park. Mr Churton Walker occupied it in 1928
and reported stones in his garden from the 15C.
medieval church once on the site. The old fish pond
is in the foreground with the weir into The Misbourne.
