The Rampside Needle
The Rampside Needle
A very curious brick-built tower, some 20m high and situated in the saltmarsh. The only survivor of 13 Victorian beacons built to aid shipping into Barrow harbour, and dating from 1875. Now grade II listed and a favourite resting spot for starlings.
