Looking in the Newcastle and London direction immediately south of Alnmouth railway station. Ahead are passenger loops at Wooden Gate to allow overtaking of trains in both directions. An engineers siding comes off the up loop to reach the yard to the left. Compare with NU2310 : East Coast Mainline and Alnmouth yards from 3 years ago and NU2310 : Southbound train from 6 years ago.
