On foot from Portsmouth Harbour to London Waterloo (138)
Looking from Fratton Railway Station towards Hilsea. It takes 4 minutes by train but I am going to use my two feet.
Action Stations Leg Two
It recently occurred to me that walking between railway stations allows the solo walker to do linear rather than circular routes. In that spirit, I started at Portsmouth Harbour and got to Fratton. Today, for Leg Two, I am going to go via the back streets of Fratton to Ocean Park, past the old gaol, down to Milton Road, over Copnor Bridge and up to Green Lane- finally cutting through to Hilsea Railway Station.
Fratton Station
Fratton station is a railway station in Portsmouth, located near Fratton Park, the stadium of football club Portsmouth F.C..
It is located on the Portsmouth Direct Line which runs between London (London Waterloo) and Portsmouth (Portsmouth Harbour). The station opened in 1885.
