Hayes Travel, 102 Bedford Street, North Shields

Founded in 1980 in Seaham, County Durham, Hayes Travel has grown into the largest UK independent travel agency. There are two dates on the two first floor bow windows, 1832 and 1910. Whilst it is likely that the building was erected in 1910, which is wholly consistent with the nearby property 97-98 Bedford Street Link which was built in 1912, the relevance of the 1832 date is not known.
