Draper's Mill Margate
A smock mill with four patent sails and winding by fan tail. There is also a gas engine here. Probably early 19th century and Grade II listed. A view just below the cap showing parts of the brake wheel, wallower and sack hoist drive. The sack hoist is driven by friction from the underside of the wallower. It was very tight up here and this is probably the best overall view.
