Preserved Nu-venture bus on display at Gamecock Meadow (2)
This vehicle is in the light blue and cream which Maidstone Corporation Transport first introduced on its fleet of eight Leyland Atlanteans with Massey 74-seat bodywork numbered 27-34 (EKP 227-234C) in late 1965. Those vehicles were delivered to replace some of its trolleybuses in the brown and cream livery that were operating in that town. On the left of the photo is RF600 (NLE 600) a green London Transport AEC Regal IV with Metro-Cammell 39-seater bodywork. Both vehicles were on display to mark the Swanley Garage 100 & Bus Running day.
