St Mary Aldermary
The church was first mentioned during the reign of William the Conqueror, was partially rebuilt in 1511, and finished in the late 1620s. Wren rebuilt the church after the Great Fire of London and completed it in 1682. The most notable features are the plaster fan-vaulted ceilings in the nave and the aisles. This view looks down the nave towards the altar. As it was early in January, the Christmas trees were still in evidence.
