Garrick's Head, Saville Street, North Shields
Designed in 1898 by F. R. N. Haswell, this ornate yellow and brown faience façade with brown glazed bricks at ground floor level and Dutch gables above is a beautiful reminder of the many similar façades that once existed in the area. It is rightly recognized as a building of special local architectural and historic interest by North Tyneside Council. Further examples of F. R. N. Haswell's work can be seen at Link & Link.
