Gattonside Suspension Bridge
A nostalgic view of the suspension bridge connecting Gattonside with Melrose taken in 1985 before the bridge was renewed. The original support towers were strengthened and retained, but as other photographs show, the main bridge was replaced with a much "safer" but uglier construction.
