Metal plate attached to stone post by the A35, in parish of BERE REGIS (PURBECK District), half way up the hill leaving Bere Regis; 110m West of quarry entrance, 1m back from road in hedge by rough grass verge, on South West side of road. Dorset 2 (iron plated), erected by the Puddletown & Wimborne turnpike trust in the 19th century.
