Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of LYDHAM (SOUTH SHROPSHIRE District), East of Cook's Cottage, by former railway embankment, on North side of road. Bishop's Castle arched stone, erected by the Bishop's Castle turnpike trust in the 19th century.

Inscription reads:- : MILES / B. CASTLE 1 / M. BROOK 8 / C. ARMS 8¾ :
