Located at 180 Bromley Road SE6 2XA, this bus garage was opened on Monday 11th May 1914 by the London General Omnibus Company but requisitioned by the War Office in January 1915. It wasn't until October 1920 that Catford Garage was returned to civilian use, being passed from LGOC to Thomas Tilling Limited. Since September 1994, the garage has been operated by Stagecoach London. When this photo was taken, an Open Day was being held at this bus garage to mark its 111th anniversary and people can be seen queueing to the right of the photo to get in to the garage.
