Taken at Elmers End Green, this photo shows preserved Leyland Titan bus T961 (A961 SYE) working on heritage route 54 between Elmers End Green and Blackheath as part of the Open Day being held at Catford Bus Garage (TQ3772). It dates from February 1984 and has Leyland 68-seater bodywork. It was one of 1,125 such vehicles that were produced for London Transport between 1977 and 1984. The bus on the right is DW307 (LJ10 CVP) a VDL DB300 with Wrightbus Pulsar Gemini 2 65-seater bodywork dating from 2010. It is working on Arriva route 194 (Lower Sydenham to West Croydon via Sydenham, Penge, Beckenham, Elmers End, West Wickham and Shirley).
