Roman bath-house at Bearsden

Bearsden was the site of a fort (excavated between 1973 and 1982) on the Antonine Wall. Present-day Roman Road appears to follow the line of the Military Way, which passed through the fort; the Wall itself was parallel to this, but a little further to the north. The fort itself is now covered by housing, but the remains of the bath-house, which was in an annexe to the east of the fort, are on display. Part of the east rampart of the annexe is also visible there. See LinkExternal link at Canmore for archaeological details.
