Loch Quoich and Sgurr Mor
This photo was taken from a spot close to, but a short distance south-east of, that for NH0203 : Loch Quoich, Sgurr Mòr and Sgurr na Ciche. The same hills, including Sgurr an Fhuarain, Sgurr Mor and Sgurr na Ciche can be seen. On the left Meall a' Choire Leith, 436m in NH0101, now appears almost in full, as does the small unnamed 218m island in the loch near it. Of course this has been an island only since Loch Quoich was dammed to provide hydroelectric power.
The snow-covered hills provide a clear view of their profile, for example, Meall a' Choire Bhuidhe, 614m, is visible below and right of Sgurr an Fhuarain, as is the Meall a' Choire Charnaich ridge from Sgurr Mor.
