Broad Street Tunnel and gin joint in Birmingham
Looking north-west from Gas Street Basin, and towards Wolverhampton.
The Birmingham Canal to Wolverhampton was built 1768-1772 then partly re-routed during 1824-1827. Broad Street Tunnel is actually built over and extended bridge, now officially identified upstairs as Black Sabbath Bridge.
The Gin Vault states it can offer "over 450+ (sic) gins, cocktails, beers and spirits". I haven't tried it yet - just a couple of pints of real ale in a bar nearby is usually enough for me.
