Going home from my final Action Stations yomp I reached into my rucsac for a Private Eye or similar; and found only my battered Pocket A to Z. I looked up the first entry Abady House in Page Street, Westminster; and then the last Zulu Gardens, which was in Battersea- where I had been that day. I told my family and friends I was going to walk between them Immediately, a chorus went up. "You're forgetting dear old Aaland Street down the Old Kent Road" and "What about Zythia Walk where I used to deliver papers back in the day?" Well, they weren't in my A to Z. So here are mine...
Grosvenor Bridge (Victoria Railway Bridge), is a railway bridge over the River Thames, between Vauxhall Bridge and Chelsea Bridge. Originally constructed in 1860, and widened in 1865 and 1907, the bridge was extensively rebuilt and widened again in the 1960s. The engineer was Sir John Fowler.
