A ranger in Wollaton Park is helping a red deer stag to find its way back to the area where the rest of the herd were grazing. Note that the stag's antlers are still at the velvet stage. The park has herds of both red and fallow deer.

Wollaton Hall is a former stately home in the Nottingham area. The house, grounds (five hundred acres) and outbuildings are run by Nottingham City Council. The steam museum is run by the Nottingham Arkwright society. Inside are many rare and steaming exhibits. Outside is a very rare 1840s horse Whim Gin colliery winder.
Also of interest is the Natural history museum with its geology section.
