A passer-by peruses the remarkable house at 18 Folgate Street. The house was purchased as a shell by an eccentric American artist - Dennis Severs - who set out to recreate a Georgian lifestyle for himself. Severs died in 1999, but the house is now run by the Spitalfields Trust and is open to the public. See also TQ3381 : 18 Folgate Street.
