The Thatch Hook, Ivinghoe
The Thatch Hook, Ivinghoe
This Thatch Hook was used in the event of a fire in the thatched roof of a building. The hook was used to pull the blazing thatch off the roof to stop it spreading to the rest of the roof and building - or adjacent buildings.
