The Preston Martyrs
The Preston Martyrs
See SD5329 : The Preston Martyrs for an explanation. The statue was created by Gordon Young (also responsible for The Family in Gateshead LinkExternal link and A Flock of Words in Morecambe LinkExternal link ). The splendid Georgian Corn Exchange behind is now a disco-pub, sadly. It would be good to see it put to a more imaginative community use.
