This is a world heritage site and at five thousand years old pre-dates the Pyramids by two thousand years. It is thought to be a tomb where the remains of the dead were placed in transverse chambers within the mound long after they had died after the eagles had taken their fill.
The single entrance aligns with the sunrise on the shortest day of the year.
