taken 16 years ago, near to Cassop, County Durham, England

Lake, Cassop Vale
Lake, Cassop Vale
Cassop Vale has been designated a National Nature Reserve because of its bedrock of magnesian limestone. The thin lime rich soils encourages rare plants such as blue moor grass, rock-rose and bird's eye primrose.
