The photo shows the old lock gates in a permanently open position on the entrance to the dock.

Temenos is a 110m long by 50m high sculpture designed by Turner prize winner Anish Kapoor as part of Middlesbrough's Middlehaven Docks rejuvenation. It is costing 2.7 million and is one of five sculptures in the Tees Valley. With a total price tag of 15m this is the world's biggest public art project.
