NT8947 : Stone pillar inside St Cuthbert's church

taken 18 years ago, near to Norham, Northumberland, England

Stone pillar inside St Cuthbert's church
Stone pillar inside St Cuthbert's church
Standing about 6 feet tall, this pillar appears to be made up of fragments of old gravestones and floor flags. It must have some significance for the church, but sadly I could find no information to tell us anything more about it. Feel free to update these notes if you know more.
