The High Girders
The High Girders
One of three railway bridges spanning the River Nene to the south of Peterborough station, each utilising a different design. This bridge carries the down fast and relief lines. Adjacent, visible on the right of the photo, is the bridge carrying the up lines. A pair of workmen can be seen taking a lunchbreak beside the river.
