Isle of Iona: parish church
One passes the parish church on the way from the ferry to the abbey. The original parish church was NM2824 : Isle of Iona: St. Ronan’s church, from the 1200s to the Reformation in 1560. The island did not then have a formal place of worship until this church was built in 1828.
