Former mail sorting office, Copperfield Street
The back of this building still bears Royal Mail notices as evidence of its original existence as a sorting office since 1905. But on 21 February 2008 it was reopened by Queen Elizabeth II as the London Fire Brigade headquarters, replacing TQ3078 : Lambeth: London Fire Brigade Headquarters, Albert Embankment, SE1. The main entrance is round the other side on Union Street.
