Clyde Walkway - heading towards Blantyre Farm Road
If the Clyde Walkway is being followed in an easterly direction, the view in this photo is seen after crossing the Rotten Calder (a river) by means of a footbridge and then passing under a railway bridge. The short section of the route seen here is little more than a hundred metres long, and leads from the railway underpass to the point at which the walkway meets Blantyre Farm Road.
At that point, the walkway does not continue straight across the road; instead, the walker must turn right, follow Blantyre Farm Road south for a few yards, and then cross the road, pass through a kissing gate, and follow the walkway eastwards through the replanted woodland on Brickworks Hill.
