On Saturday the 31st of May 2008 the last of the twenty six turbine towers was
delivered to the Scout Moor Wind Farm construction site.
This top 22 metre tower section, seen here making its way through the Scout Moor quarry, was to become Turbine No 17 which was constructed during the first week of June 2008.
It was almost 6 months to the day since the very first tower sections were delivered back in November 2007 Link
