It was not until 1851 that the Church of All Saints was built, partly at the expense of Horatio, Lord Nelson, to serve the tithings of Charlton and Witherington. It is in the Early English style, in red and purple brick, and was designed by T.H. Wyatt. There is a chancel, a nave with a north transept that was added in 1891, and a south porch.text/html2007-04-18T22:25:21+00:00https://www.geograph.org.uk/profile/217Alan Rolfe52.569606 -2.928737SO3797 : Near the Knolls

The old lighthouse of Belle Tout can be seen right on the distant cliff. This was moved some 16 metres or so back from the cliff edge in 1999 and may have to be moved again within the next 50 years.text/html2005-07-21T21:41:46+00:00https://www.geograph.org.uk/profile/217Alan Rolfe50.747552 0.188622TV5496 : Michel Dean monument
